Episode Summary

Our guest today is a singer, songwriter, and producer hailing from Los Angeles , CA. Honoré has cleverly crafted tracks with witty lyrics, lush harmonies , and fuses R&B, Pop, and Hip-hop to create a unique sound. Growing up mentored by legendary producer Mike Cee, Honore was exposed greatness at a young age from watching mike work with legendary artists like Boyz to men and other celebrities'. After his time with mike he joined a boy band group which toured all over the Philippines airing on all major TV networks, performing on huge stages with the pussy cat dolls and created a fan base during his time there. Although he's had much success, Honore opens up about the struggle of being only half Filipino and how he was constantly judged for being mixed. He dives deep about how being mixed, vegan, and not drinking or smoking was difficult for him to fit in because of how different he was from the norm. He now no longer tries to fit in and embraces being different. There is power in uniqueness in which he speaks about being that light for other people who feel like they don't belong. We hope this episode encourages others to embrace their differences and become the person who only they can be!
