This week we have Pearl Steffie who is a model and head chef at one of LA’s hottest new restaurants all while catering private events for LA’s rich and famous. She’s been featured in Voyage LA, Shoutout LA and The Portrait Project magazine for her unique approach to her career and side hustle. Originally born in the Philippines, she explains the culture shock of moving to LA and although she didn't speak much English she understood the trash talk from Spanish speaking co-workers. In this episode, she dives deep about the struggles of being a female chef in a predominantly male industry. Due to her small size and gender she was always placed in the easier areas of the kitchen until she stood up and fought for her place.
